The 2012 Russian River vintage is being regarded as epic by the critics and we couldn't agree more! The elegance and finesse of this wine has already made it a friends & family favorite, with aromatics of baked apple, pear and citrus blossom. Mouthwatering, but with a more refined richness than in previous, cooler vintages.

Our Chardonnay is organically farmed from estate vineyard in the heart of the Russian River Valley. The Chardonnay block on Soul Patch Vineyard sits at the very bottom of the eastern facing hillside. This is an extremely cool pocket of the vineyard, which allows the fruit longer hang time, resulting in bright, beautifully balanced acidity.


We age our Chardonnay in 30% stainless steel and 70% French oak. Of the 70% French oak, 1/3 of the barrels are new, 1/3 are 1 year old and 1/3 of the barrels are 2 years old. The fruit is whole cluster pressed and fermented on the lees, using all wild/native yeast. The 70% of the wine that is barrel aged goes through malolactic fermentation.
