Grenache/Mourvedre/Syrah Blend

This has become such a cornerstone blend for us, bringing the best pieces of all these varietals to the table. The silky acidity from the Mourvedre; soft, chewy tannin and rose petal aromatics from the Grenache; the beautiful blackberry fruit and savory, sun-baked lavender character of the Syrah. Their seamlessness in the glass comes from 18 months in 1-3 fill large format oak barrels, which give less voice to the barrel, highlighting the amazing work done in the vineyard to achieve perfect ripeness.

Together they create a wine that is seemingly always sold out or near to selling out, not surprising considering how well it drinks right away while still being ageable over then next 10 or so years.

Our estate vineyard was originally planted in 1896. For a frame of reference - In 1896 there were only 44 US states, Henry Ford invented the first automobile and the first modern Olympics took place in Athens… These days Guy follows business on his smart phone while working in the vineyard.
